Head Chef Dharshan Munidasa has curated a special menu for ÀNI, featuring an array of signature dishes. Start with light bites such as crab salad with wasabi mayonnaise and avocado, and crab liver paté with Melba toast and a drizzle of kithul treacle. Savor garlic-chili prawns, cooked to Ministry of Crab’s secret recipe. Conquer a kilo of pepper crabs with pepper stock and kade bread, and finish on a sweet note with coconut crème brûlée, served with tropical panache. Refreshing iced-tea sodas are the perfect accompaniment.
Ministry of Crab is a celebration of Sri Lanka’s abundance of seafood, particularly the succulent mud crab. Launched in December 2011, Ministry of Crab prides itself on serving the highest-quality ingredients in their freshest form; to reiterate this, the restaurant employs a daring no-freezer policy. The restaurant promises diners the best wild catch of the day, which means that no small or meatless crabs, those with one claw missing or uneven claws are served.
The brainchild of renowned chef-restaurateur Dharshan Munidasa, in partnership with Sri Lankan cricketing legends Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara, Ministry of Crab is located in the 400-year-old Dutch Hospital in the heart of Colombo.

How do I get to ÀNI resorts?
Thanks to our Luxury Inclusions, getting to our resorts is blissfully easy. Private transfers to and from our resorts’ national airports are included. Fly into Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport in Anguilla (AXA); Phuket International Airport (HKT) or Krabi International Airport (KBV) in Thailand; or Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) in Colombo, Sri Lanka. In the Dominican Republic, pick from a choice of airports, including Puerto Plata (POP), Samana (AZS), Santiago (STI) and Santo Domingo (SDQ). We will whisk you to our resorts by private boat or luxury vehicle. Transfer to and from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) can be arranged, quote available on request.
For even quicker journeys, we can arrange a private jet from Bangkok to Phuket, followed by a helicopter transfer to ÀNI Thailand; a private seaplane transfer from Colombo straight to ÀNI Sri Lanka; or a private jet from NYC followed by a helicopter ride, flights or a speedboat transfer to ÀNI Dominican Republic and ÀNI Anguilla. Should you wish to arrive in style, we can also arrange luxury yacht charters.
ÀNI guests can use and organize their own private transportation, but we can also assist in arranging every step of the journey, from home pick-ups to the resort and vice versa, thanks to our expert teams and hand-picked local partners.
